For this project, we are attempting to represent some innate human desire using several scanned objects, and the one I chose was the desire to take risks. While only a few of my objects are currently visible, I feel that the underlying theme is already visible.

Blend Modes
We did a cool thing in class while playing around with blend modes on Photoshop and I liked it enough that I decided to post it here.
The Emperor
I wouldn’t call this the worst thing I’ve ever taken part in making, but it’s definitely on the top 10 list. I’m so sorry Napoleon, first Waterloo, and now this.
Here’s the original, just for reference:
Some of these things
A quick test for some stuff.
Another PS Exercise
Another quick thing we did for class. This, like the previous, became easier and quicker as I went on.
A quick exercise
Just a quick thing we did for to get used to working with the paint tool on Photoshop. Got better at doing it as I went on.
Century of the Self and Digital Technologies.
Overall, this was a fairly interesting documentary. The main focus being the perception of consumers towards products and advertising was not something I had much knowledge of beforehand, even though it is in fact an issue I regard as fairly important. In truth, the original perception of opinions towards advertising was not something I had considered entirely.
In this way, it is clear to see how digital technologies play an important role in both advertising and also the way society views things as a whole. Clever manipulation of ideals can help frame a society, and someone who can master that can be very helpful, or very dangerous.
Although, as a side note, I disagree with a lot of Freud’s idea’s, and if I’m not mistaken, most modern psychologists do as well.
Day One
Blog status: created. Mission accomplished, I’d say.
I’ll paraphrase my “About Me” page, for clarity’s sake. 1st year Art Student, currently enrolled in a Digital Imaging class at UF, of which this blog was created for. I like particularly to work with digital art, using Photoshop and Illustrator.
